In George Orwell’s horror scenario “1984”, Newspeak is a new language invented by Government to euphemistically make their destructive intentions sound like great achievements for mankind.

German Health Minister Dr. Philipp Roesler recently had a candid moment in an interview with a German newspaper. His speech exemplifies this kind of Newspeak, and as such also makes it clear to the ones among us who are not hypnotized yet where we are really heading.

Initial question by the “Ostsee-Zeitung” (name of the newspaper): “Does the health sector have to get used to the idea of austerity measures because the public health insurance is short 7 or 8 billion Euros?”

Reply by Health Minister Dr. Philipp Roesler: “We see health not only as a cost factor, but also as an economic factor and therefore as a chance for more growth and employment. The health sector with 5 million employees is the number one employer in Germany. In nursing care, there are almost as many employees as in the car industry. It is time to finally grant the health sector the same importance as other parts of the economy.”

Final question of the interview: “What potential does the health business have in Germany?”

Reply: “I realistically think that turnover can increase by 50% in the next 20 years. We currently are at 263 billion Euros per year; in terms of employment, the growth rates will certainly be in the two digit range. There is enormous potential for growth.”

As it becomes more and more apparent that large portions of orthodox medicine are not as useful as they are touted to be, the health sector is now important because it is an economic factor. Apparently it does not matter whether there is any utility to the treatment, at least it generates employment!

It is as though one would be glad for many burnt down homes, for inundations and volcano eruptions, earthquakes and other catastrophes, because they generate a lot of work and employment and cost which is some company’s sale!

So let’s not prevent diabetes, obesity, dementia, heart attacks and cancer, and look forward to a future of full employment thanks to the many expensive treatments and nursing home cases!

And what about “we are at 263 billion Euros”? We? Is the Health Minister part of the health business? Apparently so.
